Every spring, thousands of cranes gather at Hornborgarsjön in Sweden, creating one of the most spectacular signs of spring in the Swedish countryside.
In April, I returned once again, camera in hand, to spend some time watching the cranes and taking in the atmosphere. It’s become something of a spring tradition for me.
I’m not a bird photographer by any means, but I brought my camera and a zoom lens and couldn’t resist trying to capture a few moments. The cranes are fascinating to watch, especially when you see so many of them gathered in one place.
