Summer has a way of becoming a collection of little moments.
A warm morning at home. A sudden change of weather. Roses blooming everywhere. A rainy day spent cleaning. And sometimes, a tiny unexpected visitor hiding quietly in the garden.
Over summer, I’ve been filming bits and pieces of summer here in Sweden — nothing particularly planned, just some of the things that made these days feel like summer.
One of my favorite moments was discovering a little fawn tucked away in the garden. I had no idea it was there at first, and I tried to keep my distance and let it rest. It was such a small, unexpected moment — but somehow those are often the ones I remember.
And then there were the roses.
I may have become slightly obsessed with them this summer. 🌹As I usually become this time of year and with my roses. Every time I went by them I stopped and sniffed the roses. And it was a lot. I also picked them as small buequets to spread around the house.
I’ve spent a lot of time enjoying them in the mornings with a cup of tea and in evenings almost saying good night. There is something about roses in summer that makes it very difficult to walk past without stopping for a closer look.
There were quieter days too. A rainy day was spent cleaning and putting things back in order, and on one of the warmer days, when it was almost to warm to be outside I sat down and tried sewing a dress for the first time. I didn’t film the whole process, but it was fun to try something completely new.
Somewhere in between all of this, there were slow summer mornings, little trips through the countryside and warm evenings when the garden seemed to hold onto the light for just a little longer.
These are the kinds of days I wanted to collect in my latest vlog — a few ordinary summer days in Sweden, with all their small details.
